Route, stops & catering

Rainbow Ride challenges you – in a fun and accessible way. There is so much to see along the way that fime flies by! And of course there is also enough to eat and drink to continue cycling - at your own pace!

Our 50 km ride!
During this route you cycle the first and last part of the 100 km route, from and to Vondelpark Openluchttheater. You can find the 50km route here.

Are you in for the 100 km ride?
You will enjoy beautiful views along the way, such as the Holendrecht river and the bicycle bridge at Nigtevegt. Of course you will pass the rainbow cycle path between Utrecht and Zeist. You can find the entire route on Komoot.

There are two rest points along the way. A first stop is in Utrecht at the Regenboogfietspad and the second one is in Loosdrecht. If you have purchased extra catering, you will receive your lunch in Loosdrecht.

Are you cycling 200 km?
This route is more challenging and even more beautiful. Along the way you pass rural Baambrugge and the Gooyerdijk near the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Enjoy the peace, heath and forest on the Treekerweg, in the beautiful area of National park Utrechtse Heuvelrug. To challenge you even more, you will climb the mountain of Leersum. You'll find the 200 km route on Komoot.

You can catch your breath at three rest points that we have set up for you. Your first stop is in Werkhoven, your second stop is in Utrecht at the Regenboogfietspad and the third is in Loosdrecht. If you have purchased extra catering, you will receive your lunch in Loosdrecht.

Both routes come together in Utrecht near UMC and cycle the last miles to Amsterdam. In Amsterdam we pass the AIDS monument at Centraal Station and the Gay monument on Keizersgracht. Together we finish in Vondelpark. All participants and their supporters can enjoy the festival!

- a delicious lunch along the way
- a nutritious meal afterwards

We are there for you at all rest points and are very curious about your experience. You can sit back, relax and recharge. Toilets and first aid is available if needed.
